What is Coronary Blockage?
Coronary blockage is the expression used to indicate a partial or total occlusion of the coronary arteries, which in medicine it is a condition also referred to as Coronary Disease.
The presence of an occlusion in the coronaries prevents a regular blood flow to the heart and this determines a dangerous medical condition called ischemic heart disease or myocardial ischemia in which the heart receives less oxygenated blood than it needs to perform regularly.

The CVX-300 Excimer Laser has demonstrated to be the most effective, safe, complete, and versatile device to resolve CTOs (Chronic Total Occlusions) and the Coronary Disease.
In fact, the system is approved by the FDA in the hardest and most complex indications, and is often the only possible device for the patient’s specific clinical profile.
Indications for Laser-assisted Coronary Angioplasty:
- Chronic and Total Occlusions (CTO)
- Venous Graft Occlusions (By-pass)
- Calcific Lesions
- Balloon-resistant Lesions (Balloon Failure)
- Unexpanded Stents (Stent Dilation Failure)
- In-stent Restenosis
- Ostial Lesions
- Long Lesions
- Myocardial Infarction for thrombus vaporization
-
Common Symptoms
- Chest pain or feeling of pressure on the chest
- Pain irradiating from the chest to the back, arms, shoulders and neck
- Shortness of breath
- Nausea
- Feeling of general physical impairment
- Abundant sweating
-
The Excimer Laser to treat Coronary Disease is especially recommended in the most complex cases and to solve clinical situations in which stents, balloons and atherectomy devices fail or are not indicated.
