auryon-3

The Peripheral Artery Disease affects peripheral arteries in the legs and results in partial or total occlusions of such arteries.

Such disease is one of the most frequent consequences of diabetes, and affected patients present a 70 times higher probability than non-diabetic ones to develop gangrene as a consequence of these occlusions in the arteries, which in turn determines eventually the need for limb amputation, if not treated successfully beforehand.

The Diabetic Foot can be prevented, and when it develops, it can be treated adequately to prevent amputation.

Reducing amputations is therefore a fundamental goal in the treatment of diabetic patients and nowadays exist new therapies that address early to late stage skin ulceration.

Auryon Cold Laser

The Auryon cold laser is proving to be the most complete, safe, effective and versatile treatment methodology in the resolution of Peripheral Arterial Disease, being in fact approved for the most complex and difficult indications of use in which it often turns out to be the only possible treatment and advised.

Procedures for limb salvage may provide a critical improvement of the blod flow in the leg and foot. Additionally, they may prevent infections, stabilize bone structure, foster regeneration of damaged tissues, help the patient psychologically, with the aim to prevent amputation.

These procedures aim also to improve the patient’s general health condition and its quality of life.
